A few years ago, a former colleague of mine (who is now the Sydney based editor of LattéLife Wingecarribee) was stitched up by crooked cops and a dodgy real estate agent.
Cristian King was framed for a crime he didn’t commit by bent coppers closely associated with the dead criminal, Charlie Johns, along with the notoriously corrupt, Angus Campbell-Jones.
Angus is the son of Nick Campbell-Jones, the second most corrupt mayor the Wingecarribee Shire has ever known.
Cristian was represented by the infamous barrister, Charles Waterstreet, who has since been disbarred, but who’s still good pals of the Kings.
I was at the hearing in which Cristian was found not guilty of all charges, and I personally witnessed Angus Campbell-Jones commit perjury. He blatantly lied under oath.
Nothing happened to Angus, of course, even though the maximum penalty for perjury is 7 years incaraceration.
The Moss Vale Court is as equally corrupt as the Hume Police Division, so local crooks like Angus can perjure themselves on the stand without worrying about consequences.
